What it's like to own
The S2000 is built for one job — long, efficient backup — and prices it aggressively at about $0.35 per Wh. Anker rates its idle draw at 6 W, which is why it claims up to 35 hours of fridge backup, and its 314 Ah cells for 10,000 cycles.
The trade-offs are 1,500 W of output (enough for a fridge, router, lights and a microwave, not a space heater and microwave together), 400 W of solar, and no 12 V car-style socket. Outlets sit front and back so always-on devices can stay plugged in behind it.
Owners have ridden out 25- and 30-hour outages with it and call it the most efficient 2 kWh unit they've tried; one reports a buggy app. It was the best-selling large station in our check.
