What it's like to own

The Elite 300 is designed for RVs and home backup. Besides four AC outlets it has a TT-30 plug that feeds an RV's shore-power inlet and a high-current 12 V/30 A DC output for 12 V fridges, water pumps and diesel heaters.

It takes 1,200 W of solar (about three hours to full) or 1,800 W from the wall. The Solar Lab measured about 86% efficiency and ~15 W idle draw, and it switches to battery in 10 ms.

At 58 lb it's heavy but small for 3 kWh. Early owners praise the app and 24/7 support; one early reviewer was disappointed by solar limits at launch before revising to five stars.
