What it's like to own

The HomePower 3600 Plus is Jackery's home-backup machine. 3,600 W from four outlets plus a 30 A RV plug runs sump pumps, well pumps, fridges and window ACs, and two units together give 240 V for dryers and central systems.

It refills in 2.5 hours from the wall or about 4 hours on 1,000 W of solar, and expansion packs take it to 21.5 kWh. The Solar Lab measured 89% efficiency but a 34 W idle draw, so switch it off when not in use.

At 77 lb it rolls on wheels rather than being carried. Owners in hurricane country have bought two, and one runs a boat's accessories including the water heater and AC.
